How to decorate your home for Halloween?

If you love being creative at home then Halloween is the perfect time of year. You can be as creepy as you like this holiday by using loads of dreadful decorations to make your home look super scarey.
Halloween is one of my favourite times of year, so I wanted to share some of my tips and tricks on making your home spook-tacular!

Pumpkin Carving

One of my favourite things to do over Halloween is pumpkin carving! It’s so much fun and you can be as creative as you like!
Halloween would not be the same without pumpkins, so you should use your pumpkin decorations to your advantage.

Eerie Lighting

Play around with lighting this Halloween, you’d be surprised how much lighting can change the mood of the room.
The aim is to be as spooky as possible - lighting will create an eerie ambiance for your home. You want to create the feeling of mystery - something could pop up at anytime.

Spook up your walls

Try making the most of you wall space, it can make your home look even more spooky.
Try adding a few things such as spooky pictures and paintings or cover the ones you already have up with white sheets for the ‘abandoned’ look. Draw some creepy eyes on your mirrors with a dry wipe marker pen.

Creepy Surprises

It’s those frightening finishing touches that make all the difference, make the ordinary extraordinary by adding a few additional touches to complete your home's Halloween look.
Try placing an old birdcage on the floor, leave the door open and scatter some plastic rats around it like they’ve escaped. Break off some branches from outside scatter them around to make the house look abandoned.

Cover your tables with plastic bugs - it will make the place look infested mwahahaha!
